Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Broth

In a large pot, heat the chicken broth over medium heat. Add the sliced ginger and minced garlic. Allow the broth to simmer gently, infusing the flavors for about 10 minutes.

Step 2: Cook the Chicken

Add the chicken thighs to the pot and let them cook for about 15-20 minutes, or until fully cooked and tender. Remove the chicken from the pot and let it cool slightly before shredding it into bite-sized pieces.

Once the vegetables are cooked, return the shredded chicken to the pot. Stir in the soy sauce and miso paste (if using) for added depth of flavor. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Simmer for another 5 minutes to blend the flavors.
